香港「3」早前與大熱的即時通訊程式 Whatsapp 合作，推出每月$8任用 Whatsapp 傳送一切訊息、相片語音及影片，而不受數據限制。今天Facebook宣佈與各大電信網絡商合作，將為旗下的Facebook Messenger推出，以免除或折扣形式收費的數據服務。
來自14個國家的18個電信網絡商，都在合作計劃之內，Android 及 IOS 版的 Facebook Messenger 或使用其他電話的 Facebook 用戶，其數據費用將獲豁免或特價。可惜香港暫時不在計劃範圍之內，但隨着其他的即時通訊軟件的日漸強大，用戶數日漸增多，Facebook面對競爭，相信會加快優惠的腳步，以保優勢。
